Who we are

Wirrimbirra has been established as a new entity to provide family preservation and early intervention services to Aboriginal families in rural and remote communities across Murrumbidgee, Far West and Western NSW districts; where service provision is not currently meeting the needs of the community.

The service is designed, managed and delivered to ensure we provide a culturally appropriate and responsive service to vulnerable Aboriginal families and communities. Wirrimbirra’s core business model is to offer holistic, practical in-home support, aimed at preventing family breakdown and enabling Aboriginal children, young people and families to remain living together in their local communities.

We focus on sustainable outcomes achieved via tailored service interventions. We work with the families to create the opportunity to define their own reality; identify their own priorities and be accountable for themselves.
