The Commissioner of Corrective Services NSW

1. I recommend that the Commissioner of Corrective Services New South Wales consider the introduction of, at a minimum, 5-yearly refresher training for all staff who are members of Risk Intervention Teams.

2. I recommend that the Commissioner of Corrective Services New South Wales continue to monitor the progress of refurbishments at the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre with the aim of ensuring that all inmates subject to Risk Intervention Team management are housed in O-Block or a refurbished cell in Darcy Pod by the end of 2024.
